Well with 2008 I have decided that I would like to start writing
again. The holiday this year was mostly good, I took some time to
organize my movie collection which I have been meaning to do for
awhile. I also wired in a LAN jack in both rooms in the condo so now I
am running a Gig-E network over the whole house. It is amazing what a
difference it makes for download speed compared even to a Wireless N, I
am now convinced that a Wireless network is only useful for surfing the
internet.
Over the holidays I also got some bad news
unfortunately, my uncle Thorald passed away New Years eve. He was in
fact my great uncle and in answer to one friends question yes I think
he lived a good life. Having said that it is always hard to know that
you aren't going to see someone ever again. Thus is life though I
suppose and the friend is right, can't get too caught up on the
inevitable.
In other news I really binged on a TV show over
the holidays. I don't normally watch a lot of TV but when I can find a
good show...with all of the comercials lovingly chopped out...I do tend
to binge. The show is called Dexter, a friend mentioned it at an Xmas
party and said that it was really good and he was absolutely right.
Two seasons later I think that I am hooked and can't wait for season
3. Pick it up if you get the chance, interesting story line and the
first season is amazing...even if the character isn't as convincing as
the second season.
Well that's all I have tonight, going to do a little fiddling on the computer and maybe watch a movie, early night.
